The first week back was a great week for all! Students were excited to see their friends and compare their adventures, teachers were back to helping our children experience and learn and parents- at least this parent- was very happy to get back into the routine of life!
GIRLS ON THE RUN
Attention third through sixth grade girls…
Girls on the Run will be offered this spring 2016 at Highland Mill. Girls on the Run is a fun after-school program that teaches healthy living, confidence, and includes fun games and activities that revolve around physical activity. Online registration for Girls on the Run will begin January 8th and runs through Jan. 14th. Placement day will take place on Jan. 15th. The season will start the week of February 1st. SPRING DANCE
The HMM Spring Dance is scheduled for March 12th at the Oasis Shriners (where it was held last year). Only 225 tickets will be sold. Keep an eye out in the next few weeks for more info on how to purchase your tickets!

SLT (Student Leadership Team) Meetings
Join the SLT at their monthly meetings every 3rd Thursday at 8am. The group gets together and discusses student/school decisions that are important to not only the school but our students as well. All parents are welcome! The next meeting will be held on January 21st!!
Spirit Rocks: BIRTHDAYS, SPECIAL EVENTS, OR SHOW HMM PRIDE!
HMM has two Spirit Rocks available for painting! If you'd like to paint the Spirit Rock, you must first check to see if the date is available on the Spirit Rock calendar here. If your date is available, then please fill out this form and send in $10 to HMM PTA. Once the money is received, the PTA will reserve the date on the calendar. Can’t wait to see all your beautiful Spirit Rock creations!
